EMS Therapy

At Active Feet, we are one of the first clinics in Scotland to offer EMS Guided Dolorclast® Therapy, it is a treatment approach that utilises laser and shockwaves to address various musculoskeletal conditions. While specific benefits may vary depending on the individual and the condition being treated.

EMS Guided Dolorclast® Therapy

The potential  benefits of this type of rehabilitation are –

Pain Reduction: The shockwaves stimulate nerve fibers, which can help decrease pain signals and provide relief for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, tendinopathies, and other chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions.

Improved Tissue Healing: Guided Dolorclast® Therapy promotes tissue regeneration and healing. The shockwaves stimulate blood flow and metabolic activity, enhancing the delivery of oxygen, nutrients, and growth factors to the affected area. This can accelerate tissue repair and promote faster healing of injured or damaged tissues.

Non-Invasive Treatment: It does not require incisions or anesthesia, reducing the risk associated with invasive procedures. This makes it a preferred choice for individuals seeking a non-surgical treatment option.

Faster Recovery: By stimulating tissue healing and reducing pain, Guided Dolorclast® Therapy can potentially lead to faster recovery times. The therapy may help individuals return to their normal activities or sports more quickly compared to conservative treatments or natural healing processes.

Improved Function and Mobility: Many musculoskeletal conditions can limit a person’s range of motion and overall function. Guided Dolorclast® Therapy aims to improve function and mobility by reducing pain, promoting tissue healing, and increasing blood flow. This can help individuals regain their physical abilities and perform daily activities with greater ease.
